Take your ambitions to the next level

The incumbent will be called upon to participate in the development of the target IT architecture for the sector. Their main focus is on the realization of the IT architecture based on the orientations established by the strategic business and IT advisers.

In particular, this architecture must capture the current and expected IT capabilities of all business areas to meet the company's strategic ambitions in the areas of member-customer shift, digital transformation, profitability and growth.

  • Obtain and master the business and IT orientations essential to the realization of the IT architecture;
  • Establish detailed IT orientations and document them in the form of statements and models, then link them to the statements and models defined by the Business Architecture Consultants;
  • Produce IT architecture deliverables, mainly those relating to the definition of new applications or the evolution of current applications. These applications can be the product of custom development or configuration of software packages;
  • Take advantage of current and new transversal solutions;
  • Feed and validate data architectures;
  • Contribute to the alignment of the priorities and orientations of the program with other initiatives of the sector and the company, including the enterprise architecture;
  • Contribute to the development of application modernization scenarios;
  • Establish and document transition scenarios from current applications to defined targets;
  • Offer realistic and profitable solutions aimed at modernizing the sector's application base;
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps that promote the delivery of value and that take into account other projects (in progress or planned);
  • Present the results of your work to peers and strategic advisers;
  • Replace or support, as needed, the IT architecture advisers assigned to maintaining the current fleet of applications
  • Ensure the sustainability and transfer of knowledge of the IT architecture to the systems development, evolution and maintenance teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline;

  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in IT architecture within programs or projects;

  • Knowledge of the life and health insurance industry and/or wealth management;

  • Experience with at least one solution implementation program or project using at least one industry software package;

  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Business and IT architecture;

  • Great ability to work with many stakeholders (Business Architect, Corporate Architect, Business and IT Expert) in a complex organizational environment involving interventions on several sites (Quebec, Levis, Montreal) and teleworking;

  • Experience with an architectural repository;

  • Languages required:

    French: 4/4
